Media Change Restores Plant Capacity
When a recycling facility’s reduced airflow capacity began hurting production rates, they tried multiple bake-outs and even pressurized-water washes of their RTO’s media beds, but nothing served as an effective solution. Then they called us. We determined exactly what factors were causing the media beds to clog, then recommended a new combination and configuration of ceramic media. To minimize downtime, we worked around the clock in 12-hour shifts to complete the media replacement. We also fine-tuned the unit burner’s process parameters and controls to reduce the RTO’s original, 20-hour start-up time to just 3 hours. Read our Media Change Case Study.
